Revelation 2:12-29
.) Did anything stick out to you in the passage? Anything you hadn't noticed before? Anything from the sermon?
.) Jesus calls the church in Pergamum to further faith despite the fight that they were in a very difficult place. Why is it important for us to remember that our task as Christians remains the same, no matter our circumstances?
.) Why is tolerating sin so dangerous? What are some sins in our culture that are tolerated, or overlooked?
.) Why do we need to be careful when it comes to showing empathy? Have you ever been tempted to lower the standard because you are trying to be empathetic?
.) What does it mean to hold fast to what is true? What promises can you see being made to us in these two letters?
